Sono tornata a cantare (I'm back at singing classes)

Sono tornata al corso di canto. Il controllo della voce si è un pò perso, ovviamente, ma è andata meno peggio di quello che immaginavo.

I've started my singing classes again. My voice control is lacking, but it's normal after such a long period of rest. Well, in the end I'm not so bad.

Per ora canto un pò di musica leggera, il coro dovrà aspettare ancora, non ho tempo per le prove ed i concerti. Ho cominciato con queste:

Fallimenti, ma... (Failures, but... )

Niente da fare, 'ste calzine al ragazzino proprio non gli aggradano. E allora niente. E a scuola ci va lo stesso. Vogliamo parlare dell'ACDC: carino, veramente carino... in taglia 12 anni. Smontato. Però, guarda un pò , mi sono accorta che questo filato, Ornaghi Supermerino, si lavora a 3 punti per pollice... giusti giusti per fare una giacca modello Tomten da adulti (sempre lei, EZ). E ricominciamo, però questa volta mi sa che ci siamo.

There's nothing to do, he (the kid) doesn't like my socks. Frogged. And what about my ACDC: lovely, but in a teen size. Frogged. But I realized that the yarn knits at 3 sts per inch... the exact tension for an Adult Tomten (EZ again). Maybe that's the right time.

A scuola non ci vado (I don't want to go at school)

Dichiarazione di ogni mattina di Damiano. Pianti, urla, occhioni tristi... poi appena mi allontano si mette a giocare. Diventerà un politico, già lo so.

This is what my son Damiano tells every morning. He screams and shows certain sad eyes... until I leave him and go away, then he starts playing with other kids. He will be a politician, I suspect.

Per farmi perdonare gli avevo fatto un paio di calzine, che però non gli sono piaciute ovviamente. Allora sto provando con queste: modello Moccasin socks, della solita EZ. Un pò astruse, ma il risultato sembra interessante. Vedremo se gli aggradano.

Fine estate (End of summer)

Alla fine la pioggia, tanto agognata, è arrivata. E l'estate sta finendo. Mi sa che non mi dispiace più di tanto, è stata calda e faticosissima.

Rain has come, at last. And summer is ending, but I'm not so sad, it's been so hot and stressing.

Finito! E da almeno due settimane, è che non ho avuto un attimo di tempo per rendere noto il fatto. Come testimonia la foto sono totalmente esaurita. Utilissime le note trovate su Ravelry: l'affarino veste larghetto e l'ho fatto in taglia S. Risultato perfetto, come nella foto di Knitty (modella a parte....). E adesso... ho ricominciato con questo.

Done, and finished at least two weeks ago but I hadn't the time to post it. Thanks to all Ravellers for useful notes: this thing tends to be larger the size suggests, so I've knit it in size S and it fits perfectly (just like in Knitty's picture, except for the model...). And now I've started this project... again.

Piedini felici (Happy feet)

Ho comprato dei sandaletti nuovi a Damiano ma per lui che sa solo correre e non camminare non andavano bene, perchè gli scappavano sempre dai piedi. Ecco la soluzione: due striscette di spighetta blu dietro.
